Great campsite for visiting Chartres which easily accessible by a pleasant cycle ride (or walk) along the river into the centre. The staff were friendly and efficient, the sanitation block was clean and well maintained, and the pitches were generous. There is a nice litle shop at reception, and an evening woodfired pizza seller. And a good supermarket is 5 minutes drive away. There are sporting facilities incuding a devent petanque piste.

A lovely secure site within easy access of Chartres. Facilities are very good. We have solar and batteries so we were placed at the edge of the camping field which has no hook up but is less shaded by trees.

On site now and very disappointed! I emailed the site in good time prior to arrival to reserve a pitch. On arrival we were allocated a pitch at the bottom of the site near the access gates to the riverside path. This area is in total shade not even enough light for the grass to grow, it's like being in a cave! Requested a move on two occasions but the reception staff aren't interested. No fresh water taps other than at the sanitairs and your charged to empty your grey waste! Leaving ASAP

A great location in Chartres with traffic-free access to the centre along the river. There is a spectacular sound and light show each evening, so definitely worth a stop over if you are in the area. Facilities all clean and practical. A choice of pitches depending on how much shade you want. There’s a good supermarket within 10 mins walk.

The site is walking/cycling distance into Chartres which is a beautiful city. We enjoyed the little train which runs nightly from the wonderful cathedral and visits the ‘lumieres’. Many of the pitches are in full shade with very little grass. We were able to move to a pitch with a little more sun as we were there for three nights and many people were only there for a night. Pizzas and bread available daily. Very good security. Some road noise but overall a positive stay.

This is a really lovely, natural campsite. Facilities are clean and there’s lots of hot showers available. Pitch sizes vary and there are lots of large trees.
The walk or cycle into Chartres is along the river. It’s fine in the day time but completely unlit at night so take a torch, not least to spot the gate to get back in as there is a code needed to open it and that’s not easy in the dark. If you don’t take a torch get a taxi back.
Fresh bread etc is available from reception if you order the night before.

A one night stay en route, easy access and good pitches, very pleasant walk along the riverbank into town where the Cathedral externally lit up with a light show, fascinating historical event.

Lovely site, convenient stop over and nice walk along river into town, which is worth seeing. Great restaurants. New shower block, all clean and hot water. Bread in the morning. Big pitches. Would come back.

Probably one of the nicest campsites we have stayed on. Stayed for 3 nights 21st to 24th May. hi Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and very convenient to the center of Chartes along a leafy riverside walk. Highly recommend it.

Great stopover site, easy riverside walk into Chartres, with it’s beautiful cathedral. They had experienced a lot of rain, rendering many pitches unusable, but Madame found us a firm space where we still had EHU. Easy access with large twin axle caravan, WiFi in the leisure room, which also had games. Pizzeria every night.
