Lovely flat pitches with trees for shade.
Toilets/Showers/Washing facilities very outdated and not maintained or cleaned properly/regularly meaning bad fitting doors difficult to lock and though toilet paper was provided you were lucky to find a booth where it had not run out.
30 min walk to "pont du canal" worth visiting.

Reception only manned 3hrs per day. Easy to arrive late and depart early without payment. Toilet/showers inadequate for 150 emplacements. Leaving today (luckily) as a group of 10 travellers have just arrived and taken over one corner. Also Polish truck has arrived to use as an overnight stop. Chemical toilet disposal is a hole in the ground with a hose! Shame it is so poorly run as the grounds are fantastic as is the location.

A municipal now run by Seasonova, Le Martinet is a quiet site on the Loire just outside the lovely little town of Briare. It's a little run down and could do with some investment but that said we had a very enjoyable week here in May 2024. Sanitary block is quite dated but the shower was gloriously hot and powerful as were the washing up sinks. No toilet seats and no paper but that's not unusual in France. Pitches were very large and mostly level and most have EHU. Lots of water points. Peaceful

large area off-season where you could stay hooked up to caravan no problem overnight. Stayed 4 nights for a break. Lovely area with canals. Grass long but ok if you had stayed next to main campsite road. lots of cycle paths.
chemical disposal via footprint toilet but grey water only by bins near entrance - could be a long way from site.

A lovely spot for walking and cycling. Briare is a lovely town of character. As with a lot of French facilities they are shared and no toilet seats. there were only 6 vans here with us so very quiet.

Municipal campsite on the Loire, beautiful position, great place, front pitches, have all services Pool, a little small but very clean unable to use any facilities due to personal Covid reason personally isolating easy access to the Loire and the Briare canal bridge wildlife in the Loire was wonderful. Would stay again - there is an aire at the end of the site so the road in front can get a little busy but wasn\'t a problem.
