Really nice campsite run by a lovely couple who made us really welcome , great place for relaxation not far from a small town and a castle with a wine museum

Friendly English speaking receptionist. Pitch was large enough but very difficult to access due to trees and narrow road. Toilet/shower facilities excellent. Stayed 1 night but town too far for us to walk. We have to rate facilities, but most were closed

we loved this campsite. small and friendly. toilets and showers spotlessly clean. shady plots. small pool. lovely castle above the village . would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful campsite on the edge of the village, pitches are sheltered with trees, the facilities although old were spotlessly clean, the pool and restaurant when I visited in May were not open, lots to do in the surrounding area.

fabulous campsite very pretty amongst trees. Staff fantastic and spoke perfect English. Helped with vet when dog unwell. Vet very friendly and although didn’t speak English we managed with Google translate. excellent site. Restaurant closed and pool being cleaned so couldn’t comment but expect would be good

staff were very friendly. toilets were OK. the only downside was the whole site was being covered in grey dust ,it got on the outside of the vehicle and the inside it even got underneath our seats and on you when you sat outside . The pool was empty and the restaurant was closed. Only stayed one night that was enough for us..

A gem, hiding in plain view. A truly fabulous campsite, run by the oh so friendly and super professional Lisanne. An easy and safe bike ride (on quiet roads) to the lovely town of Peñafiel. If you’re hungry in the evening, note that not much happens before +/- 2030hrs in town. Campsite has super clean sanitaire with great (clean) showers thankfully not on timer taps. Pool and kids pool are clean and refreshing. Good level pitches with light hedging around them (most of them, maybe all?) and the site is quiet at night. There is a café/bar on site which we didn’t try hence I can’t rate it however everyone seemed happy there. Next time we come it may well be our first stop from Santander (c4hrs at 55/60mph). So I recommend this site and the nearby town.

Small and cozy campsite just outside town with lots of shade. Very clean and well maintained. The staff is great: they gave us lots of information on what to visit, where to eat, many bike tours, winery visits etc. They also organize wine tastings. Pool open from the 15th of June. Even when it\'s busy the campsite is quiet, perfect to relax and read a book. We also saw squirrels and the poppies were in full bloom.

We stayed in May 2023. The campsite is in a great location, lovely cycle to the reservoir and a great walk into Penafiel, beautiful town and castle. The owners of the site were really helpful and friendly and offered wine tasting sessions! Fabulous stay, we will return there one day!

Beautiful site in woods a short cycle ride from town. Nice facilities but may be too small if the site is busy.
Good cycling and walking from site.
Wifi by the office but OK when working.
Penafiel very interesting and good tapas bars.
Site restaurant just opened, but annoyingly only menu via a QR code, which was not user friendly - unlike the very helpful site staff
